This picture is my Dad. He is my hero. He passed away on April 7, 2007. If he could see me now! I know that he is with me all the time. Every day that goes by I can hear him give me the confidence I need to be healthy. When I cross any finishline I always think of him and all that he did for me, my brother, my sister and my mom while growing up. I have one goal in mind at this point in my life. I have spent the last 30 years over weight, obese and now morbidly obese. When my Dad was sick and after he passed away and a trip to NYC Marathon with my sister and her very athletic friends running in it, something clicked and on September 7, 2007 I began this journey. With each 10 pounds down I keep adding more goals. I have done a few 5K's and 1 10K and by this time 9/09 I would like to have finished my 1st sprint triathlon! I have so many people to thank for all the continued support, My husband, my kids, my trainer, my families in New England and all my friends here in NJ. It would be impossible with out them! I know what it takes now to be healthier and I am finally on the right path.
