Focus

Trying to get that focus back I had when I started this weight loss journey in 2007. Gained some weight back over the last several months, not keeping record of my food intake, not getting on the cardio machines as much and certainly stopped running outside> i have continued to do boot camp classes at least 3 times per week.  So back to  really focusing on why I started this and to stop all the negative thinking about the past few months and move on. My 1st 5k of the season is fast approaching (March 20th). I started back running 3 weeks ago and feel ok but not great but I am ok with that. My weight is heading back in the direction it should. Movin on!

Back again!

I can honestly say I have missed reading all your posts, writing posts of my own and reading all the great info everyone posts about health and fitness! It was a great spring and summer for races for me even dealing with an ankle injury I am not going to complain. My husband started running also so 2 in my family, now I am working on the kids. I am still with my trainer Dan and continue to run as much as possible. I need to work on that so much more. The weight is coming off slowly over the summer and as soon as the kids get back to school I can get back into a much more intense routine. Training now for the Maine 1/2 marathon October 4th!  Starting in the Spring I had my anniversary of my 1st 5k ever and beat my time by 7 minutes! I was thrilled!  I also did the Broad Street 10 miler in philly! I was on the road a long time in the rain  but I would do it again in heartbeat! Great race I highly recommend it! My husband and I did the Beach to Beacon 10k in Maine put on by Joan Benoint Samuelson (1984) and it was awesome once again. This one all I wanted to do was finish…I had thoughts of having to stop because of my ankle but i made it. Slower then last year but I am ok with that!  I hope all of you are doing well…I have so much to read on all your posts! It’s great to be back and time to track my workouts and my health!

Once again…change is good!

I signed up at a  new gym & hired my trainer back(Dan…he had left to start his own business). When he left I just wasn’t happy with how things were going so it was time to move on. Life is good. I added these great bootcamps into my week that my trainer does and they are intense and you never know what your going to be doing. Lots of fun! Working much harder the last two weeks and keeping track of my food on fitday.com. I also started back with running and I am feeling so much better. Over the course of Christmas/New year yes I gained a few lbs back but still continued with strength training and I still feel pretty strong. First race of the season is coming up next Sat (1 year anniversary to my 1st 5k) I am looking forward to seeing where I am at physically. I am happy to say my husband will be joining me. He started running in January and can’t stop! We are both looking forward to a great race season together.
